Easter and A Garden

Our first Easter in Lexington has come and gone!  It was a wonderful weekend especially church at Tates Creek Presbyterian on Sunday morning.  I love the grandeur of Easter services...it gives me such a small taste of what the glory of seeing Christ will be like.  Afterwards we ate a delicious lunch with our friends the Cunninghams and Wilmhoffs (both have kiddos Caroline's age).  The day wouldn't have been complete without an easter egg hunt...C was so intense...she's got that Zimmer easter egg hunting spirit in her:)

The other big event of the weekend....On Saturday some dear friends from church, Merlin and Sue Lindemann, came over and helped us build a garden.  It has been a dream of mine to be able to pick produce out of our backyard for a while, but I just didn't know enough to make it happen.  Merlin and Sue live on 5 acres outside of Lexington and Sue has a BIG garden.  I'll never forget the meal they brought us the first night we were in our new home - it was all from her garden.  So here she is in all her beauty!  If all goes well, we'll have spinach, lettuce, sugar snap peas, watermelon, tomatoes, string beans, and squash...yum!
