Lexington Bound

This semester has been crazy, crazy in the Davis household.  We have sold our house and moved in with my parents for the next couple of months until we move to Lexington in June!  Nanna and Papa are loving having C here, but we're not so sure about Jack the dog.  Caroline has done great during the transition and for that we are very thankful.  Some of her latest:

  • She does not like sitting in her high chair at restaurants anymore.  She would rather walk around to everyone else's table and visit.  She's a social butterfly.  It sounds cute but it has become a bit of a problem and I am sure not everyone appreciates a 2 year old standing at their table staring at them.
  • Dad has taught her to blow it up.  That's when you put your fist on someone else's fist....never mind it's too hard to explain.  I'll try to add a video of her doing it.
  • Sometimes in the morning we pull her into bed with us and she is so cuddly.  The other morning she grabbed both of our necks and was patting us on the back.  So precious...wish we could have stayed in bed all day:)
We have been traveling back and forth between Lexington and St. Louis recently to visit with students and house hunt.  We have been humbled by the way the Lord has gone before us and provided in so many ways - the sale of our house so quickly, wonderful friends and a great church in Lexington, great conversations with students and lots of excitement about just getting down there to start our new life.

Jonathan is plowing through his last semester and his ordination exams.  We pray that come May 17th, he will have completed all written and oral exams and will be ordained.   This would allow him to just focus on support raising and meeting with students over the summer.  C and I are really proud of him:)

  1. So is "blowing it up" kind of like giving someone "knucks"?! Y'all have so many exciting changes ahead of you, definitely continuing to pray for you guys! :)
