We are so close to moving and praise the lord, Jonathan passed his oral ordination exams last week. It was such a huge relief and we are so grateful that by God's will, grace and power Jonathan will move onto the final piece of ordination. He will preach and go before the presbytery to be examined tomorrow. If all goes well, there will be a ceremony the last week of July at our new church for him to be officially ordained as a Reverend. Sounds funny...Rev. Jonathan Davis! J has worked himself to death this semester. He had a full load of classes, an internship and ordination exams to study for. I can't wait to see him sitting on the couch on a Saturday afternoon and doing nothing!
Little C is talking up a storm. Her favorite phrase is "Where did _____ go?" The blank is usually "puppy" although she loves to ask where nanna or pappa have gone. My parents have a puppy named Jack and Caroline loves this dog more than life itself. She chases him all around the house and really the first words out of her mouth every morning are "Where did the puppy go?" Jack could care less about her unless she's in her high chair and he has a chance of snagging food. Some other phrases:
- "Toons" - stands for cartoons...the girl loves to watch Clifford...again, puppies are king of her world
- Amen - at night we pray with Caroline before she goes to bed. J will say prayers and then we ask caroline if she wants to. She grabs both of our necks, bows her head (while still kind of looking up at us) and jibber jabbers and then loudly says "Amen." Ha...makes me laugh every time...it is so cute!
- Coke - Is it a bad sign if your daughter can identify a coke at the age of 19 months. I get a diet coke every day from some fast food restaurant and the other day we were sitting having lunch and C points to my drink and says "coke."
- "Covies" - stands for covers. C loves to get underneath the covers. Every morning when she wakes up we pull her into bed with us and she gets underneath the "covies." Now, anytime she sees a blanket she insists that whomever is around get underneath the "covies." Once everyone is under...she gets so excited jumping up and down. It is the cutest!
